MoreGolf Believes in the Cause
MoreGolf cares deeply about golf and the sanctity it holds for millions. The idea of developing golf in a country where so many deserve the chance to play is a grand one, and one that MoreGolf believes in. This motivated a R120 000 donation to the South African Golf Development Board (SAGDB).
"The SA Golf Development Board wishes to convey its sincere and grateful appreciation for the generous donation received from The Pro Shop." said Ken Viljoen, managing executive of the SAGDB. "This donation will be entirely utilised towards the funding of our regional squads to participate in upcoming South African Junior Golf Foundation (SAJGF) tournaments and therein hopefully given the opportunity to present their respective provinces. Our objective is to develop the regional squads to the level where they can meaningfully participate at all levels of golf".
MoreGolf is determined to play a crucial role in the improvement and development of all golfers, no matter their background. Working with the SAGDB, MoreGolf will enrich the lives of those who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to play golf, bringing them joy and more importantly, opportunity.
MoreGolf holds the utmost belief in the SAGDB and their cause. Teaching young golfers the ethics and values that contribute to their personal growth is priceless. The SAGDB is a vehicle that drives youngsters into the formal structures within South African golf. It gives them, not only a chance to participate in SAJGF tournaments, but to also see golf as a prospect for employment.
"The SAGDB does a fantastic job of nurturing and developing young talent." said Rhys Hughes, Managing Director of Moregolf. "Also, they instil a healthy sense of discipline into these young lives."
The SAGDB will continue to receive generous equipment donations from The Pro Shop, wherever they are needed.
MoreGolf hopes to expose more young talent to the SAJGF events and allow them to see golf as an opportunity, not a distant dream. |
