| Mojalefa continues to shine |

The SA Golf Development Board's (SAGDB's) top golfer in the Free State area, 17-year old Mojalefa Xaba, put in a strong showing at tournaments held during the recent winter school holidays. The youngster from Harrismith recorded consecutive top ten finishes in all four of the SA Junior Golf Foundation competitions in which he played.

| 19th IPT for Zingela |

The SA Golf Development Board’s head coach for Eastern Province, Mzuyanda Zingela, has enjoyed a formidable amateur golf career. The veteran of the game, who has also represented his country, was this year selected to represent his province for an incredible 19th appearance at the national inter-provincial tournament (IPT). Zingela earned selection through being placed 3rd on the provincial order of merit.

Fourteen past and present players from the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) in KwaZulu-Natal competed at the recent Bryan Porrit u/23 Championships held at Umkomaas Golf Club. The event is one of the biggest u/23 tournaments in the region.

| Solid return for Lwazi at Border Champs |

The SA Golf Development Board's top player in Border, Lwazi Gqira, put in a solid showing at the recent Border Championships at West Bank Golf Club. The three handicapper from East London carded rounds of 76, 73 and 79 to finish 23rd in the 46-player field.

| Experience for Zethu |

One of the SA Golf Development Board's most promising girls, Zethu Myeki, had the opportunity to gain valuable experience at the recent Womens Golf South Africa 72-Hole Teams Championship. Zethu was co-opted into playing for the Mpumalanga ‘B' team at the event held at Graceland in Mpumalanga.

About the SAGDB
The SAGDB is a non-profit organisation (with section 18A donations tax exemption status). Through its PGA-approved coaching programme, the board currently has the capacity to coach 1,500 children per week in nine areas. The SAGDB is sponsored by SAA, City Lodge and ProRange.
