SAGDB players shine in Southern Cape

The SAGDB Southern Cape regional squad in their new shirts sponsored by Arrirang Printers

The top players from the SA Golf Development Board (SAGDB) programme in the Southern Cape gave a strong showing of their ability at the recent Southern Cape Junior Golf Foundation event at Riversdal. SAGDB players won four of the nine prizes on the day.

Chandre Roberts was the overall winner in the girl's section. The 16-year old from Heidelberg carded an 18-hole score of 85.

In the B-section, 14-year old Brandon Oliphant from Oudtshoorn won the prize for the best nett score. He shot a round of 82 off his 18 handicap for a fantastic nett of 64.

In the C-section, SAGDB players from George finished first and second. 15-year old Charisa Lamprecht won first prize on 46 stableford points, while 12-year old Franklin Manchest came second on 39 points.

All the SAGDB players competing at the tournament wore new shirts sponsored by Arrirang Printers in Heidelberg.
