Recognition for Siyanda

Siyanda Mwandla has been selected for the
KZN Schools golf team

The SA Golf Development Board's (SAGDB's) top player in KwaZulu-Natal, Siyanda Mwandla, has added to his list of achievements by attaining selection to the 2010 KZN Schoo's Golf team. The 16-year old from Umhlali Country Club will be part of the provincial side that competes in the 2010 South African Golf Schools Inter-provincials in Parys from 23 to 26 September.

Siyanda earned selection by placing in the top eight stroke averages during this year's KZN Schools Championships. The championships took place over seven tournaments at different courses around the region.

"I am so excited for this young man and the progress so far made by our players in the province," said the SAGDB's development manager for KZN Joseph Kunene. "Approximately 100 youngsters competed in the championships, so Siyanda can be very proud of his performance."

Siyanda is currently at school at Shakaskraal Secondary School near Stanger on the North Coast.
